Back breaking thankless job and these guys make it look like they love it, that's what discipline is 👍🏆.
not paid enough even back then
Who is this gentleman? I hope he is well and can see this video. I have massive respect for this professional!
That guy on the left looks like he have a sick tuned Japanese Compact or Sedan..
Love it
They are cooking very sloppy, look at their moves so very novice like
He left those eggs on there for ageeesss. Looked overdone
Love seeing places where the cooks still have the 50s hats and jackets
Phenomenal. You can see this skill at various Coney Island restaurants in metro Detroit. (good old fashioned UA-cam vid here too!)
I love watching this video again and again. I’m a truck driver in food service and I deliver to restaurants and while my job is demanding and I don’t envy the short order cook job. I see how hard these chefs and kitchen staff have to work and I admire it.
thats how you make an 8 hour shift fly by. if he went slow it would feel like a 30 hour shift.
Oh jeez and I thought I was watching the video on 1.5x or 2x speed
Yeah, I’m gonna need you to just keep that going for another seven hours. That’ll be great ☕️
sure hope his hands be clean.
Nice! I also work as a short order cook. On a much smaller grill! I just uploaded a video actually lol
That dude might be fast but he’s over Cooking those scrambled eggs a d those over easy eggs. Just watch how long they are on the grill for.
A lot of Razzle Dazzle for the amount food he put out in 3:00 . I used to work the grill by myself with a 24 hr. 99 cent breakfast in Las Vegas ..He's got the moves yes , Definitely a Line Cook , But That's Nuttin' Folks ..😄
Imagine what these guys can do in a larger grill
Sharing the flattop with another guy during a rush and not exchanging words...either they're an incredible team or they're secretly screaming for the other guy to get the fuck out of their way. It's one or the other with no in-between
When I was in the Army, I was amazed to see how the Army cooks would feed breakfast to a whole Batallion. 😮
These guys could do a Hells Kitchen dinner service in their sleep..... 🤣
Check Waffle House cook 8 others in 12 min
Latinos always cooking amazing meals throughout all U.S restaurants, regardless if it’s American, Chinese, Italian food etc. If it taste good we back there making it happen ✊
Grill opt at the local waffle house here in Porterdale GA. Just advanced to master grill operator after 8 months. I remember during orientation my former Supervisor said it takes minimum 2 weeks of training. I replied, "Why..?" Now I know. Took me 2 months to train for this position. Awesome video.
This was fun to watch but hardly _insane?_ Just two normal short-order cooks preparing eggs and hotcakes.
These men are working that flat top !! So talented 🙏🏻 👏👏👏👏👏✌️
When i worked for Syracuse university , we as breakfast short order cooks each had a 60" flat top to our selves. I initially thought it was over kill but the amount of variations to order made it a necessity. A slow day would be 350 orders and during the holiday or game night you could expect 1200-1400 orders per station per cook. The flat top is BOSS at knocking out mass production! I would go through a case of 48 eggs every 7 minutes to keep food fresh and temperatures safe.
Bravo you gentlemen rock
Love it,, REAL LIFE short-order cooks in action ,, NO GLOVES and kickin it
Muchas gracias por tu servicio, senores!!
Una cosa es estar camote otra cosa es ser asqueroso para trabajar como estas vatos.. que horror de cocineros
He's good I have done this but with six pans a a time owner should get him burners to leave room for the pancakes short order cooks are one of the hardest workers have to have eyes on your back and 4 hands jejeje been doing this for 21 yrs
That shit looks scrumptious
this was my family's order I remember it
why dfoes anyone wanna dfo trhis for some randoms? fuck the customers bro
Eggs is a pain and unfortunantely they don't charge enough for the pain of cooking the perfect as as specific customer order.
No milk in the scrambled eggs. I thought he was making an omelette. Guess not.
Reminded me of the Waffle House i worked at, there were some good cooks at my location and could run it all alone on a Sunday in season, so wild. They taught me a lot about the grill
He keeps putting hand in eggs after cracking to get shells out. There is no easy way or science behind it just cold hard experience. Kitchen rule 1 smile and node your head Kitchen rule 2 if you ever find urself flustered just focus on 2chits at a time. Unless there is a party of 10 plus alway get that handle at once then back to the duces!
For all the racists people. I've never seen a Mexican begging on the street. Mexicans are hard workers, and here's proof!
I want Denny's
Covid has shown us we no longer have to work like this. High level stress, anxiety, heat. The Dominant Paradigm has shifted. The customer can go pound salt.
wrong
I couldnt work with someone beside me. I have 2 24'' grills, 2 fryers and a 4 burner and I work in the kitchen myself. we only work 4 days a week, 11am to 7pm and do 250k in sales. I know that isnt alot to some people but we run an entire dine in restaurant with 3 people.
Amazing skill.
It's satisfying to see people appreciate the workmanship and skill of a cook!!! Cooking for 32 yrs, short order, deli, restaurants, golf clubs. All can be demanding and difficult. My kitchen is between 120- 130 degrees in the summer and I'm 52. Cooks kick ass!!! Keep cooking!!✌
Looked impressive though all he did was cook a few eggs
It’s mostly the rapid timing of how quick he can fire eggs off one after the other without accident. Working in restaurants, you quickly realise that the biggest skill to be learned and sought after is speed and dexterity
This looks a lot like the deli on 45th and 6th in Manhattan. Its not but same place but the moves and same economy of motion...I went to that deli every morning Monday to Friday for 15 years. If you two vatos read this by chance you will know me. When I moved to Texas I gave them a hug and hundred bucks each...right on the line
That’s a back of a chef atlas
you have to have it together to be a good breakfast cook
There is nothing more frustrating than sharing space with people who are slower and fatter than me. I can totally sense the tension. I'm not trying to be rude but it's true! Also the guy on the left really needs to learn to use both hands at once. Did you notice all the eggs kept breaking on him? Care to guess why? Thats right, they are warm.
